Overview

About Conveyor Systems

Metallum’s industrial conveyor systems deliver high-throughput, continuous material flow across distribution hubs, e-commerce fulfillment centers, and manufacturing plants. Combining zoned Powered Roller Conveyors with robust Slider Bed Belt Conveyors, our modular platforms transport diverse parcels, cartons, totes, and bulk goods at line speeds up to 295 FPM (90 m/min).

Featuring true Zero-Pressure Accumulation (ZPA), run-on-demand 24V motorized drive rollers, and dynamic right-angle divert modules, Metallum conveyors eliminate mechanical bottlenecks, slash energy consumption by up to 50%, and integrate seamlessly with high-bay AS/RS, sortation loops, and AGV networks for continuous 24/7 fulfillment.

Powered Roller Conveyor
01

Powered Roller Conveyor

Motorized Drive Rollers (MDR)

Heavy-duty precision steel rollers powered by internal 24V brushless DC motorized drive rollers linked with poly-V or O-rings — the main arteries connecting picking zones, AS/RS infeed/outfeed loops and pack stations.

Ø 1.97 in (50 mm) drums · 2.95 / 3.94 / 4.72 in pitch · 24V BLDC run-on-demand

Slider Bed Belt Conveyor
02

Slider Bed Belt Conveyor

Continuous High-Traction Belt

Reinforced 12-gauge formed steel frames with a low-friction galvanized slider pan and PVC/PU belting — ideal for mezzanine inclines, irregular packages and long transit corridors.

55.1 in (1,400 mm) belt width · dynamic load 10.2 lb/ft²

Gravity Roller Conveyor
03

Gravity Roller Conveyor

Unpowered Roller Transport

Gravity or manual-push roller sections for simple accumulation, picking and transfer zones.

04

Divert & Merge Modules

Pop-Up Rollers & Swivel Wheels

Compact high-speed pop-up transfer cassettes and 30°/45° merge shoes driven by servo or pneumatic actuators for bi-directional 90° and angled diversion.

Sub-second divert cycle · bi-directional right-angle discharge

Features

Core Advantages

01

High-Velocity Line Speeds

Engineered line velocities from 33 to 295 ft/min (10–90 m/min) keep material flowing in sync with upstream AS/RS and downstream sorters.

Eliminates transit bottlenecks between automation islands.

02

True Zero-Pressure Zoning

Distributed photo-eye sensors and run-on-demand 24V brushless DC roller controllers manage zone-by-zone product accumulation.

Zero package collision and reduced mechanical wear.

03

Scalable Plug-and-Play Architecture

Standardized modular frame sections, drop-in roller cassettes and universal side guides allow rapid field reconfiguration and line expansion.

Shorter installation schedules and lower integration CapEx.

04

Full Pinch-Point Guarding & E-Stops

Enclosed drive mechanisms, low-voltage 24V DC power, 11.8–19.7 in (300–500 mm) side guide rails and emergency pull-cords.

Supports OSHA and ANSI B20.1 operator safety compliance.

05

Dual Roller & Belt Transport

Handles parcels from 1.1 lb (0.5 kg) up to unit weights of 110.2 lb (50 kg) and dynamic loads of 10.2 lb/ft² (50 kg/m²).

From loose polybags and envelopes to rigid cartons and totes.

06

Unified PLC & WCS Coordination

Open EtherNet/IP and PROFINET architecture connects conveyor zone controllers with Metallum WCS, ERP and robotics.

Real-time speed tracking, jam detection and predictive maintenance.

Process

How It Works

  1. 01

    Induction & Metering

Dynamic metering conveyors and servo-driven spacing belts feed packages onto main lines with controlled pitch and zero product collision.

  2. 02

    Transport & Accumulation

Zoned motorized drive rollers stop and start individual zones, queuing cartons without back-line pressure or damage.

  3. 03

    Elevation & Incline

High-grip textured slider bed belt conveyors carry cartons across inclines and declines between facility levels.

  4. 04

    Transfer & Divert

Right-angle pop-up transfers, swivel-wheel diverts and high-speed pushers route items to branch lines and workstations.
